- Senior Development Manager
Description
Staff members of the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation have energy and passion for the mission and vision of the REC Foundation.This role is primarily responsible for prospecting, researching, securing gifts, and maintaining relationships with significant ongoing donors and prospects to advance the mission of the REC Foundation. The Senior Development Manager should have a demonstrated track record of securing gifts of $100,000+. In addition, this role contributes to the strategic plan for corporate giving while mentoring and/or managing other members of the corporate relations team.
Responsibilities
- Create proposal narratives and budgets as needed to complete the donation process
- Create gift proposals and packages for current, new, and prospective donors
- Conduct donor research as needed for prioritization, segmentation, and customization of outreach strategies
- Cultivate new donor relationships from outreach strategies
- Maintain foundation, corporation, and individual donor files and accurate CRM records
- Use Donor Stewardship program to acknowledge and recognize current and new donors
- Support the RECF Executive Team, CEO, and Board of Directors in prioritizing and managing existing and prospective donor opportunities
- Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to create opportunities for donors and corporate employee engagement
- Provide regular standing reports and ad hoc reports as needed
- Assist with the collection of data to evaluate program success
- Provide continual feedback to help maintain program integrity
- May assist with additional projects and initiatives as assigned
- Maintain fundraising reports and database records with accuracy
- Provide acknowledgement letters and other stewardship activities within a timely manner
- Senior Development Manager Additions
- Serve as the point of contact and relationship manager of a strategic portfolio of prospective and existing $50k+ funders through corporate, foundation, and individual giving
- Develop and continually improve a comprehensive donor relations and stewardship program that encompasses donor acknowledgement, recognition, retention, annual reporting, and non returning donors
- Create communication templates that are utilized by all Development Managers
- Manage and maintain the processes for Corporate Fundraising
- Possess knowledge of Corporate Giving initiatives/trends across regions and work towards finding funding
- Provide mentorship to the Development Managers
- Leads the coordination, planning, and execution of all RECF VIP Events
Other Responsibilities
- Understand and uphold organizational policies, including the Code of Conduct, Student-Centered Policy, Youth Protection Policy, Commitment to Event Excellence, and Employee Handbook
- Deliver exceptional customer service to RECF customers
- Contribute to an ethical, trusting, inclusive, and productive work environment
- Provide continual feedback to help maintain program integrity
- Accurately complete and submit individual monthly travel and expense reports in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Information
- Job Type Information: Full Time | Salary | Exempt
- Primary Location (based on role needs): Remote / Greenville, TX Office / Hybrid Arrangement
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (40 hours), including RECF Core Hours 9 AM–3 PM; exact schedule with manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years of relevant work experience in a professional environment; background in marketing, communications, human services, or other related field is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years as a fundraising manager with a history of securing gifts of $100,000+
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Success in supporting executive staff
- Professionalism and quality of work
- Ability to interface on a professional level with a variety of customers (co-workers, sponsors, customers, etc.)
- Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office products
- Experience with CRM Databases
- Excellent written and verbal skills; English fluency is required
- Computer competency and ability to learn new programs
- Skilled in setting priorities to manage varying tasks/projects and time management
- Maintain security and confidentiality of sensitive information

Travel Requirements
- Attend the annual VEX Robotics World Championship for the full duration
- Typical travel: 10–15 days in April/May, depending on event configuration and assigned duties
- Location: 2026 – St. Louis, MO; future locations – TBD (usually changes every 4-5 years)
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically as needed and as budgets permit
- This includes, but is not limited to, the RECF Greenville, TX office, events, conferences, meetings, etc.
- 15% - 20% is expected including the annual VEX Robotics World Championship

Non-Compete Agreement
Any employee for a period of one year from the date of termination of employment may not solicit or perform services for any customer of the REC Foundation or organizations/programs that compete with the primary programs of the REC Foundation. In states where non-compete agreements are invalid, this section alone would be inapplicable.
Non-Disclosure Agreement
Any employee may not share or use the REC Foundation customer or sponsor contact information or related lists shared via Google docs, databases, or any other manner. This information is the private property of the REC Foundation and is strictly confidential information not intended for any other party's use. All operational functions, materials, and techniques developed by REC Foundation are considered trade secrets not to be used in any other industry position.
