Position Description: Responsible for researching grant opportunities that align with the organization’s needs. Preparing and submitting grants and meeting funder reporting requirements. Maintain organization profiles on funder and charitable rating service websites.
Duties
Work with Board chairperson to identify the organizations’ funding priorities and timeframes for funding.
Ensure the organizations that merge into the PCCFB’s structure under the umbrella of its 501 (c)(3) status and AZQCO status fill out Grant Request Forms for their funding needs and submit them to the Board Chair and the Grant Writer for seeking funding for inclusion in grants being considered by the PCCFB or new sources of funding as identified to meet these merged entities needs.
Research grant and sponsorship opportunities whose missions align with the organization’s mission and priorities.
Maintain master grant calendar of grant opportunities, submitted grants and timeframes.
Maintain a grants timeline for use by the Executive Committee to track what is submitted, funded, pending and when reports are due.
Conduct necessary research to support grant requests and write grant narratives.
Develop grant budgets in accordance with funder requirements with input from the Chairperson and Treasurer of the Board.
Submit grants on-line or in other formats required by the funder.
Forward or copy the BOD all correspondence with funders and sponsors.
Work with the Board and foodbank administrator to ensure data are collected as needed for grant reporting.
Prepare and submit grant reports as required by the funder.
Upon receipt of grant assign the grant a PCCFB Internal Award ID #, fill out a Grant Transmittal Form, a Grant Expenditure Form and send to the Treasurer, Foodbank Administrator and other necessary parties.
Maintain and keep updated electronic files with grant application materials (e.g., Board of Directors roster and bios), load and organize updated financials and other documents provided by the organization’s Treasurer and Administrator.
Maintain electronic files for each year’s submitted applications by funder name and project type.
Register the organization with new potential funders grant portals.
Update the organization’s profile on grant portals the organization is currently registered with as changes occur to the Board and other organization data (e.g., annual reports are issued, Form 990s are filed).
Update and maintain the organization’s information on Candid/GuideStar to ensure it achieves a Platinum rating annually.
Other fund development duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of grants management experience.
Able to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite: MsWord, Excel, Paint, Publisher; and Adobe Pro.
Strong organizational and management skills.
Research and data analysis skills.
