Intention 2 Impact, Inc. is hiring a full-time Impact Measurement Consultant to join our fully remote, US-based team! In this role, you will act as a key member of our "braintrust," partnering with foundations, impact investors, and nonprofits to co-create and implement equity-centered systems for monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL). We are seeking a nimble pragmatist with 2–5 years of evaluation experience (ideally with philanthropy consulting) who is comfortable with mixed-methods design, data visualization, and translating complex findings into compelling narratives.
Read on to learn more about who we are, what we do, how we do it, and whether you will be the right fit for our team.
HELLO, IT’S A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU!
We are Intention 2 Impact, but you can call us “I2I.” We are a social impact consulting firm that partners with funders, impact investors, nonprofits, and social enterprises to measure and communicate their impact.
To do that, we organize our work around three core pillars:
Measure Impact. We partner primarily with philanthropic foundations, donor collaboratives, and nonprofits to co-create and implement rigorous, equity-centered systems for monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL). Our work supports organizational strategy, ensures accountability, centers community voice, and generates evidence that actually gets used.
Amplify Influence. We translate complex findings into compelling narratives, visuals, and tools that travel — helping insights reach decision-makers, partners, and communities in ways that inspire action, deepen trust, and shift how impact is understood.
Catalyze Innovation. We treat MERL as an intervention for transformation, not a transactional checkbox. Through learning, reflection, and experimentation, we help our partners adapt, take smart risks, and build systems that accelerate durable, equitable change.
Pretty cool stuff, right?
We are a US-based, bi-coastal firm, with team members currently located in the greater Washington DC metropolitan area, Philadelphia, Colorado, and Southern California. We’d like to think that I2I is a state of mind, not a physical locale (aka we’re fully remote and loving it). We are also supported by a network of independent consultants, subject matter experts, and back office support.
I2I represents a new generation of evaluation thinkers and practitioners — who thrive in the messy intersections of theory + practice, learning + unlearning, science + communication, and absurdity + clarity. We view MERL as an intervention for transformation - as opposed to a transactional tool for accountability.
WHAT FUELS OUR FIRE
As a feminist firm, we see our growth (financial, personal, + professional) as an avenue to disrupt traditional business norms by leading with transparency, authenticity, equity, and abundance for all. We are calling YOU in to help us grow this vision.
We believe in the potential for data (stories & stats) to generate and amplify knowledge (with multiple ways of knowing). Because knowledge is power, and power is privilege. We see our privilege as knowledge workers as a responsibility. We all play a role in creating a more just and equitable world. I2I is our commitment to living this belief. And we need more like-minded folks, like you, to join us.
We are suckers for alliteration, and our work is guided by 8 core values:
INTENTION. Every step in our process is custom fit for purpose.
INTERDEPENDENCE. Transformation requires building authentic, trusting relationships with our partners and the communities they serve.
INTROSPECTION. Growth is found in curiosity, humility, and discomfort.
INNOVATION. Our work is theoretically grounded and unconventionally creative.
INTEGRITY. We acknowledge the responsibility of our privilege, lead with gratitude, practice what we preach, and center equity in all that we do.
INTELLIGENCE.We honor different ways of knowing and cultivate shared intelligence from systematic, continuous, and adaptive inquiry.
INGENUITY.We challenge the status quo in service of audacious possibilities.
IMPACT. We are dreamers and doers who know that lasting impact requires both imagination and pragmatism.
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING; DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
When you think back on the journey that has led you to THIS moment (yes, the moment you find yourself in now, reading this job posting), you may see several throughlines emerging. There have clearly been times in your life where you have demonstrated a desire to contribute to building something larger than yourself, to be in service of communities, and to be a good steward of your time and talents. Although sometimes your throughline may seem fuzzy, you don’t sweat it because you know that your values and principles will always illuminate the path to your next adventure.
You know that by staying organized and working with focus, you can meet the moment (whether that is a deadline, commitment, or even making your best pal feel celebrated on their birthday). You value transparent, clear, and authentic communication not only as a way to work more efficiently, but to nurture the relationships with the people who surround you. Speaking of people, you are invigorated when you find yourself surrounded by clients, colleagues, and community members from all walks of life. Even in the midst of differing opinions and values, you remain open, curious, and respectful.
When it comes to getting the work done, you value collaboration and also crave independent deep work. You are often ready to take action, contribute, and put forth ideas. You are not phased by managing competing priorities or multiple projects. In fact, you thrive when learning new things (and then teaching others). You consider yourself a nimble pragmatist and can roll with the punches. You know the transformative power of asking questions and seeking help when you get stuck.
Equity is a process and an outcome in your life and work. With integrity and humility, you acknowledge that you (like everyone else) have a whole lotta learning, unlearning, and relearning to do. But you are not afraid to invest the time and effort to do this. You are open to tough conservations, but you also approach this work with kindness and compassion.
